EDDY CURRENT SENSORS / COMPLETE MEASURING SYSTEMS

Eddy current sensors.
Critical movements.
Clearly measured.

Non-contact eddy current displacement sensors and shaft vibration proximity probes. Start with your target metal, measuring range and signal chain.

THE SYSTEM MATTERS01 — Probe
02 — Coaxial cable
03 — Signal conditioner

Specify and calibrate the complete assembly, from metal target to controller input.

A threaded eddy current probe connects through a coaxial extension cable to a signal conditioner and a machine controller.
MEASUREMENT CHAIN / Concept illustration. Configuration varies by system.

SELECT BY MEASUREMENT

Four paths from motion to a usable signal

01 / ECS-NCDT↗

Eddy current displacement & distance sensors

Typical interface
Remote single- or multi-channel conditioner
Explore temperature & harsh environments →

AISI 4140 ≠ ALUMINUM 6061

Your target metal belongs in the calibration.

Conductivity, magnetic permeability, thickness and curvature affect the sensor response. A curve calibrated on shaft steel cannot simply be assumed correct on aluminum or stainless steel.

01 / PRECISION MACHINERY

Track spindle growth and gap changes

Define temperature drift, mounting geometry and resolution at the bandwidth your control loop needs.

02 / ROTATING EQUIPMENT

Match the entire proximity system

Review radial vibration, thrust position and eccentricity with the monitor, cable length and target steel.

03 / DYNAMIC TESTING

Connect RPM to blade-passing frequency

Bring blade count, target geometry and gap to the speed-sensor discussion, alongside the acquisition bandwidth.
